Through an official statement, Facebook announced about the availability of its latest services. Yup, Facebook Watch is officially available globally.

Facebook Watch is said to provide a new way for people around the world to find interesting videos while giving them the opportunity to interact with friends, video creators, and fellow fans.

“We launched Watch in the United States one year ago to make it easier for people to find video creators and programs they like and start conversations around the video content with friends, fellow fans, and even their own creators. Over the past year, we designed this feature to become more social – such as making people easily see what videos their friends liked or shared, making it easier for creators to create programs that could involve audience participation, and allowing video posts on the Page to be watched through Watch. This update has helped people find and interact further with the video content they like, from Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith, behind-the-scenes events about the beauty of Huda Kattan Huda Boss, to live broadcasts of Major League Baseball. Every month, more than 50 million people in the United States watch at least one minute of video on Watch and the total time spent watching videos on Watch has increased 14 times since the beginning of 2018, “wrote Fidji Simo, Head of Facebook Video .

Here are some things offered from this Facebook Watch service:

  • A platform to find new videos: Find the latest videos on entertainment, sports, news and more, all videos are available in Watch feed according to preferences or what you like.
  • A new way to connect with creators and media that you like: At the top of the Watch feed, you will see a Watchlist, which is the latest set of videos from the page you are following. Set the contents of the video in this section by following more pages or deleting the page from the list of pages that you follow on Watch.
  • A homepage for all the videos you save: If you see a video in News Feed but you don’t have time to watch it immediately, you can save it for later viewing on Watch.
  • Videos that can engage you further: We build a new experience to watch videos that are more concerned with the audience by giving them the ability to choose and direct the content in their feed according to their interests. Over time, you will find new experiences in watching videos in your News Feed Watch, such as Together Watching, Prime Impressions, and videos that involve participant participation, such as the latest trivia programs, Confetti. We will also make it easier for you to find a broadcast video for a large event when the event takes place
