Samsung officially introduced the latest generation of laptops named Samsung Odyssey Z, which is designed especially for gamers. This new gaming laptop made by Samsung is in addition to having a thin design, lightweight, also equipped with a very adequate specification to bring an impressive gaming experience.
In terms of appearance, Odyssey Z is not much different from previous Samsung laptop design, including the display, location of the connector and keyboard that is backlighted with backlight. An important change is the position of the touchpad, which is now on the right side of the keyboard.
This laptop is equipped with Full HD screen measuring 15.6 inches with a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Its performance is powered by an 8th generation Core i7-8750H hexa-core processor along with 6GB graphics management Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060. Medium memory uses 16GB of RAM DDR RAM and 1TB PCI Express based on NVMe M2 SSD.
On the connectivity side, this laptop comes with a connection port including 1 x USB-C (not clear whether it supports Thunderbolt 3), 4 x USB-A Type (2 3 x .0, 2 x 2.0), 1 x HDMI, and 1 x headphone / mic.
Samsung says that the Odyssey Z will be equipped with a new cooling system that basically looks like a dual fan to make sure the device stays cool and stable. The cooling system includes three components – Dynamic Spread Vapor Chamber, Samsung’s Z Airflow Cooling Design, and Z Blade Blowers.
The steam room is designed to allow two laptop fans – one above the CPU and one above the GPU – to push the cold air into the hottest part to the top and below the motherboard. And all the hot air spin then ejected through the back of the laptop.
The device also comes with the Silent Mode option, which allows users to switch to this option via keyboard shortcuts.
To support performance in the media sektormult, this laptop is equipped with two 1.5W speakers facing forward, which is just above the keyboard.
This laptop comes with a 54 Wh battery. With slim design, quite reasonable if the laptop dimension 376 x 255 x 18 mm has a weight of only 2.4kg.
Unfortunately, so far Samsung has not provided information related to the availability of the Samsung Odyssey Z game laptop, including the details of the price. But reportedly, this laptop will be available in North America in the third quarter of this year.
