Following the previous gaming smartphone gamers, such as Xiaomi Black Shark and Razer Phone, Honor also launched its first gaming smartphone titled Honor Play.
Honor Play was created as the company’s first gaming smartphone equipped with “Turbo GPU” technology. Debuting Wednesday (6/6), this smartphone is named by Huawei’s top brass as ‘scary top-class technology’.
This gaming smartphone is captured by technology that increases processing by up to 60% and up to 30% power consumption that is claimed to be highly reliable to handle gaming-centric tasks.
Play Honor comes with a feature called 4D game processed by the same Turbo GPU that helps in displaying certain games. In addition, this smartphone is supported by Histen 3D 7.1 feature that will provide a more immersive and deep experience to the user during the game play on this smartphone.
In addition, the Honor Play screen is specially coated to reduce the effects of glare and light reflections that are at risk of making the user’s eyes become tired quickly.
Users can also make the transition between Wi-Fi and data seamlessly so there is no slowness and avoiding the risk of lag while playing online games. Performance from Honor Play rely on Huawei’s flagship chip that is Kirin 970 with GPU (Mali-G72 MP12).
This smartphone features a 6.3 inch FHD + screen with a resolution of 2.340 x 1.080p and has a screen design with bangs (notch).
In the photography sector, Honor Play Honor contains dual main camera with 16MP f / 2.2 primary sensor and 2MP secondary sensor with f / 2.4 aperture. While the front camera has a 16MP resolution that is reliable for selfie and video calls. Smartphones running Android OS v8.1 Oreo and featuring EMUI 8.2 interface powered by a battery capacity of 3.750 mAh.
But unfortunately, as a gaming smartphone, Honor Play is still not ‘as perfect’ Asus ROG which was released yesterday. Play Honor is provided with all the standard game processing power of the gaming smartphone, but the smartphone is not equipped with a steam cooling system, and there is no dedicated controller button that characterizes the gaming smartphone.
However, the good news is the price tag of Honor Play is very affordable. This smartphone is set at a price less than Honor 10. The Honor Play variant 4GB RAM / ROM 64GB dibanderol with a price of 312 USD (Rp4, 2 million). While the 6GB / ROM 64GB RAM variant dibanderol with the price slightly more expensive that is 375 USD (Rp 5.2 million).
In addition to these two variants, Honor Play is also offered in variants made from special edition metal (Special Edition) with a circuit design on the back that looks cool and priced at 390 USD (Rp5, 4 million).
