So far, there are some Go Android smartphones that began to penetrate into international markets such as Nokia 1 and ZTE Tempo Go. Huawei seems to be following one of the vendors who participate plunge work on Go Android phones at an economical price.

This is confirmed directly by South Africa’s Huawei General Manager Zhao Likun, who insists that Huawei’s latest handset will be released into the Y-series. In addition, the new handset will be launched in May 2018. The smartphone goes into the Android Go initiative.

Obviously, as the Android Go smartphone, this device does not come with amazing specs. Reportedly, Android phone Go “Y-series 2018” will be equipped with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory storage.

Like the information obtained from the XDA Developer page, this device is likely to be called Huawei Y5 Lite (2018). This can be seen from the discovery of the information in the firmware file. Furthermore, XDA also revealed that Huawei Y5 Lite (2018) will be powered by MediaTek MT6737 processor. You need to know that this same processor is also running Nokia 3.

Huawei Y5 Lite (2018) will feature a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 854 × 480 pixels. This smartphone is set at a price below 100 USD (Rp1, 3 million).

If the Y5 Lite (2018) is indeed an Android Go phone, then handsets that have passed the FCC are likely to be released with standard features instead of premium features like dual cameras and fingerprint scanners. In addition, reportedly, Huawei Y5 Lite (2018) will be equipped with dual SIM capabilities.
