Do you know the incognito feature? Yes, “Incognito Mode” in the browser is a well-known and useful feature, especially if you’re signed in to your personal account while using office computers or other people’s devices. YouTube reportedly is currently testing the same features on apps that will run on Android smartphones.
YouTube actually has a similar feature that will allow the app to not record the watch history and content searches in the user. This feature is accessible via Settings> History & privacy. However, the Incognito Mode being tested will be more easily accessible by tapping your account picture in the top right corner. Next you will find the “Enable Incognito” button. So, you do not have to bother getting into Settings again.
When enabled, the app will not record your sessions and subscription and subscribe lists will be hidden. The familiar Incognito icon will be visible in the upper right corner indicating that you are browsing YouTube anonymously.
But until now, this feature is still in the testing period so not all devices have it. YouTube in the near future is rumored to be launching this feature to a wide audience.
