Acer launches two Predator Helios gaming laptops at the Global Press Conference next @ acer held in New York today.
The Helios Predator series includes the powerful Helios 500 Predator, which is powered by the 8th Generation Intel Core i9 processor, and the Predator Helios 300 Special Edition with enhanced specifications from its predecessor as well as the distinctive white chassis. Both are VR-Ready devices, have advanced thermal technology, and super fast connectivity.

Predator Helios 500
Designed for sultan class gamers, the Predator Helios 500 is a gaming beast. This laptop comes with an Intel Core i9 Generation 8 and GeForce GTX 1070 graphics that can be overclocked. Intel Optane Memory improves response and speeds up loading time, while the ultra-fast NVMePCIe SSD, DoubleShot Pro Killer network, and up to 64GB memory ensure ongoing activity, making Helios 500 the ideal gaming laptop for graphic-intensive AAA and live streaming levels.
Stunning visuals are presented on a bright, sharp 4K UHD or FHD IPS 17.3-inch screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate for blur-free and tear-free gameplay. NVIDIA G-SYNC technology is on an internal display and an external monitor, allowing smooth and smooth image display. For those looking for the ultimate gaming experience, the Thunderbolt 3 dual port, and the HDMI 2.0 display and port support up to three external monitors. Helios 500 temperatures can survive to stay cool thanks to two Acer’s AeroBlade 3D metal fans, and five heatpipes that distribute cool air to the main components of the engine while releasing the hot air simultaneously. The fan speed can be controlled and adjusted through the PredatorSense application.
The backlit RGB keyboard offers four lighting zones with support for up to 16.8 million colors. Anti-ghosting technology provides final control to run complex commands, which can be configured through five programmable special keys.
The Acer PredatorSense application can be used to control and monitor the laptop’s vital parts from a central one, including overclocking, lighting, hotkey, temperature, and fan control.
Predator Helios 300 Special Edition
Acer Predator Helios 300 Special Edition comes with a white aluminum chassis with a gold accent, a unique design for a gaming laptop.
The Helios 300 Special Edition (PH315-51) is capable of displaying ultra-smooth gameplay via a 15.6-inch FHD IPS screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The fast refresh rate shortens the rendering time and reduces the lag input to deliver an exceptional gaming experience. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 + 8th Gen, GeForce GTX 1060 graphics that can be overclocked, up to 512 GB PCIe Gen 3 NVMe solid state drive, 2 TB hard disk.
The Helios 300 Special Edition also comes with 16GB DDR4 memory which can be upgraded up to 32GB. Intel Optane Memory speeds up loading time on games and applications, access to information and improves overall system responsiveness. The Helios 300 Special Edition also features the ultra-thin Acer AeroBlade 3D fan with 0.1 mm thinness designed with advanced aerodynamic technology and superior airflow to keep the device cool. Users can manage it through the PredatorSense app, which has three usage modes:
