The latest version of Google’s operating system, OS Android v9.0 Pie, which was released a few months ago, is an OS version that many smartphone users want. Until now, global OEMs are still “lining up” to get the OS Androids Pie update and release this system to their flagship device. Sony is no exception who also does the same thing.
A few days ago, two of Sony’s flagship smartphones, Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact, began receiving OS Android v9.0 Pie updates. And today, Sony has announced that they are expanding the adoption of Android Pie OS updates to more Sony Xperia devices.
The following list of Sony Xperia smartphones that will receive Android Pie OS updates include Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZ1, and Xperia XZ1 Compact that will begin receiving updates from Pie October 26. While on November 5, Sony will release the same update for Xperia XZ2 Premium.
Not only that. Sony will also release this update for its intermediate keals smartphone. Mid-range Sony smartphones such as the Sony Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia XA2 Plus will get OS Android v9.0 Pie updates until the end of Q1 2019.
Sony is preparing to launch the Sony Xperia XA3 series in the near future, possibly Sony will introduce the smartphone at the MWC event in Barcelona or CES in Las Vegas. Reportedly the latest Sony Xperia series will come with the latest Google operating system.
