One feature that is pretty much embedded in the current flagship is support for super fast charging. Usually, this is not a big deal because basically, most phones come with this feature, such as Qualcomm Quick Charge’s fast charging technology.
Currently, Qualcomm has Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology launched in 2017 and then followed by Quick Charge 4.0+ which was inaugurated a few months later. Now, the latest news that the latest charging technology developed by Qualcomm will be supported on Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 8.
A recent leak says that Xiaomi Mi 8 will support Quick Charge 4.0+. A screenshot of the list of supported models for Quick Charge 4.0 and Quick Charge 4.0+ appears in Weibo. And Xiaomi Mi 8 is listed on the opposite side.
Although this news has not been confirmed by Xiaomi, but it is not impossible if Xiaomi Mi 8 will come with support technology Quick Charge. The device was launched as a Birthday edition to commemorate Xiaomi’s eighth anniversary in the smartphone business. Thus, Xiaomi may insert special and up-to-date features into its flagship smartphone, including Quick Charge 4.0+.
Quick Charge Qualcomm 4.0+ has all the features available in QC 4.0 but there are indeed some enhancements to it. Quick Charge 4.0+ can remain stable at charging in temperatures up to 3 degrees Celsius. And the latest version of Quaick Charge is claimed 15% faster in charging than previous versions and up to 30% more efficient than previous versions.
