Qualcomm to date has not officially introduced Snapdragon 670 to audiences. But a recent news says that Xiaomi is ready to “woo” this middle-class chipset to run on smartphone garapannya. Not only that, the information obtained from XDA Developers website also states that Xiaomi is currently working on two middle-class smartphone that will be supported by the processor.
Info from the editor-in-chief of XDA Developers, Mishaal Rahman revealed by his Twitter account said that the giant technology company based in China is currently preparing two devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chip. Still in the development stage, Mishaal also added that both smartphones it has the code name “Comet” and “Sirius”.
If we can assume, the possibility of one of the two smartphones is Xiaomi Mi Note 4. This is quite reasonable because the previous generation of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor.
For the second smartphone, our prediction is guided by Xiaomi Mi Max 3. One reason is that this smartphone will be released in a few months, so there is enough time to prepare the processor that will run in it.
Regardless of the code name attached to both smartphones, Mishaal also said that Snapdragon 670 does have will have a combined core processor 2 + 6. Through information circulated since February 2018 as reported by Winfuture.de said that Snapdragon 670 will not use big.LITTLE 4 + 4 architecture. Instead, this chip will have two high performance cores paired with six low performance and power-efficient cores.
